Case 6 Study:

In this modern age a lot of new technologies have been created. The most popular among these gadgets are the mobile phones, audio and video player and the digital cameras. Nokia, Samsung, Motorola and Sony Ericson which are the leading brands in mobile devices are always competing in having the latest model of their mobile phones. Of course other brands such as LG, T Mobile, Blackberry and other brands do not want to be in the last. They are also making sure to create innovative styles of mobile devices. Obviously, we all know that the latest models of mobile phones are now capable of video and audio streaming as well as taking picture, videos and voice recordings and also have access to the internet.
Similarly, iPods and other audio and video players are also the most selling gadgets these days. The iPod Generation 6 is which I think the latest model of it. There is now the new iPod video which has memory storage of 30 gigabyte up to 60 gigabyte. This new iPod video feature has 60 percent brighter and more vibrant 2.5 inch color display good for watching TV shows and movies. This new iPod integrate with iTunes 7 and the iTunes Store that includes over 75 Hollywood movies, 220 television shows and popular video games designed specifically for the fifth generation iPod. And of course can also play music that you want. There are also new models for the iPod Nano and the iPod Shuffle. Moreover, from what we see in our homes the appliances today are also becoming more innovative. Almost all have been what we called “hitech”.

Of course, the emergent of these new technologies are not only seen inside our house. Many have been change of because of these new innovations. From the way we work and even in our education. Technologies help our works easier and faster with the help of the computers and other office suppliers that we need in order to get our job done. Before we do our own jobs manually that was really so tiring and a very time costly. But with the help of these new technologies, we have been inspired to work hard because we find help in doing our jobs from these new gadgets that are available. Aside from that, technologies also help us in our education. With the help of computers and internet we can easily search through many things want we want to know. Also there is already what we call as “e-Learning” and “virtual learning in which through this learning is possible even we are outside the school premises.

In terms of health and medicine, there are also new medical technologies that have been developed right now. Implanted medicines are the new trend of medical technologies today. After a thorough surfing over the internet I have found an article on physorg.com about new medical technology called EndoSure. EndoSure originally came up from the Georgia Institute of Technology. It is the first implantable pressure sensor that combines wireless and microelectromechanical system (MEMS) technology to receive FDA clearance. EnduSure is usually known as the EnduSure Wireless AAA pressure System. According to the article EnduSure is a CardioMEMs’ innovative device that measures blood pressure especially to those people who have an abdominal aortic aneurysm. Similarly, a small and tiny pressure sensor that is inserted in the femoral artery is also a device used for measuring blood pressure.

I can assure to you that i can prepare myself for the next new one coming!

Case 5 Study:

The relationship between technological change and human capital is complicated.
Technological change may make human capital more productive,1 or, alternatively,
it may render certain skills obsolete.2 Because technological change affects the
supply and demand of human capital in various ways and possibly in opposite
directions, its effects on the stock of human capital and human capital investment
are ambiguous. For example, some studies (Autor, Katz, & Krueger, 1999; Bartel
& Lichtenberg, 1987; Bartel & Sicherman, 1998; Goldin & Katz, 1998) find that
the effects of technological change on the demand for human capital depend on
whether the new technology complements or substitutes skills. When technology
complements skill, technological progress increases the relative demand for skilled
and educated workers, and hence promotes human capital investment. Technologyskill
substitutability, on the other hand, may decrease the demand for education
and training.3
In this study, technological change is defined as the arrival of new tasks and
techniques that cause the skills associated with older techniques to become obsolete,
as opposed to a general change in total factor productivity (TFP). Although
technological progress has always been an important feature of the American economy,
the introduction and diffusion of new technologies appears to have proceeded
at an especially rapid pace during the past decade.4 The terms “new economy”
and “new paradigm” are invoked repeatedly in popular discussions about the current
American economy. In an economy characterized by increasingly rapid technological
change, understanding how technological change affects human capital
accumulation becomes particularly relevant.

Case 4 Study:

for me, the greatest cause of all climate problem is the big machine that built by people. It can probably cause a certain type of global problem like our nature. we dont even help plant trees because of our influence in future devastation.

first cause of global problem is

1. people
2. machines
3. nature disaster

Case 3 Study:

Technology was being made to lessen the cost and preferably in order to does work sufficiently and more accurately. From different aspects of our life, there exists a technology to answer those needs in that area. Nowadays, different technology arises and being created just to manipulate and even substitutes on our workloads. It would eventually be a tool to satisfy our needs. I think that technologies should not fully substitute our workloads since man could treat as useless. In that case, enabling technology to work a part of a certain job would be nicer. I know that a certain technology could not work without human but to actually have that bunch of technology out there, it should be more appropriate to use them on jobs that are so much heavy and needs so much time to be done. In this case, technology would really be of use. It is really an effect of different development of technologies that there exists the uselessness of some of them. They are also being used even in works that should eventually be done by humans. We should come to think if we should upgrade that particular technology. It should be not biased on other technology and way on how it should be implemented is not against other technology. The innovations on technology have different impacts on different jobs right now. In fact, these were some of the impacts on innovations on technology.

The Impact on Jobs
Technology not only affects the way companies are organized, it also affects jobs in two ways:
• Technology displaces some jobs. Since there arises some technology innovations, the jobs are being displaces by the technology itself to support a work to be done.
• Technology changes how work is actually done. We could easily do jobs in an instant way since the technology could manipulate it easily since it was being innovated on way how the past technology is lack with.

Case 2 Study:

As a IT student, I shall contribute a precious innovation or technology that can to others. because as of now. world already occupies by technology. Although this technology is very common. this can help more people and countries to improve the quality of technology as well as the future turns. Me a student, I can contribute my learnings in others by teaching them how technology innovates and go further and for so long. because we cannot have our skills if we dont have learnings right?

Case 1 Study:

Something has been happening lately in education, and the implications are a bit unsettling. People are beginning to ask a cogent question, but I fear it's being framed for the wrong reason. I'm hearing more and more important decision makers asking, "Why are we using technology?"

The question itself isn't inherently problematic. In fact, it's quite an excellent question that should be asked every time we create a student learning experience, but it should be asked as a pedagogical inquisition rather than the way it's being framed in too many districts as of late.

I've heard from several colleagues in various states that there is pressure mounting to cut both future and existing plans for increasing technology utilization in their districts. Many districts are eliminating technology personnel as well. The primary catalyst for this is being blamed on the economy. Budgets are being trimmed and belts are being tightened, and it would appear to those wielding the shears that technology is the low hanging fruit. The federal stimulus package, while certainly helpful, hasn't proven to be enough to reassure many of the trepid districts. Technology is typically expensive, and the reality of the expense is seen by some to outdistance the reality of the return on investment we can get when affording students the opportunity to engage learning with technology.

Expect The Expertise!

Hi! To all who witness my very own creation of my former expectation. Expect the whole thing that can help and useful to you., For This subject COMPO 4, I think this could be more challenging because i deals with webprograming , PHP , Web Design and many more.. At least I even expect that I will pass this subject, For me, due to my own prefer, Enhancing my skills by mean of hardwork and study well. And I figure out that this subject is the best for marketing.. Me, I agreed that expectation is completed my your work not in destiny but I hope I will rage my friendly well doing to others so that I have my own alliance in this particular subject. Expectation is not just a word for but then it has means in your own life."COMSCI" - thus it means communication? But will This could be my very first serious study in my 2nd Year of AMACC..
